The 2020–2021 League Of Fire Chilli Champions World Rankings

The League Of Fire (LOF) has been in existence for over a year now and one thing we have always tried to do is listen to YOU – the Chilli Heads who participate in spicy challenges, read these blogs and have made the LOF what it is today.

One person in-particular got in touch with us recently with some great ideas. Ideas that we had heard from other people that were similar and resonated with us. Cameron ‘The Cannon’ Grennan, an enthusiastic Chilli Head from Surrey in the UK, mentioned some of his ideas to us and he inspired us to be pro-active and innovate. Consequently, we have worked in secret from the 1st of September 2020 recording every challenge that has been submitted into a NEW World Ranking System!

The idea is simple. From now on every time a Chilli Head submits to us their new entry form for a challenge, that achievement will be recorded three-fold: firstly, in the respective challenge’s League Table: secondly, in the existing ‘all-time’ world rankings, and finally in the NEW annual 2020-2021 World Rankings!

Put simply, this is a way to ‘wipe the slate clean’ every year to determine a current and relevant LOF Number 1 ranked Chilli Head in the World! This type of system is present in many other sports which recognise a World Number One every year, and that individual will go down in history as the best Chilli Head of each year, making history along the way.

So, from now on, Chilli Heads who look at the all-time rankings and see the familiar faces of the UK Chilli Queen, Atomik Menace and Johnny ‘The Savage’ Scoville et al. at the very top with huge amounts of points accumulated over previous years and feel like they face an uphill struggle trying to catch up with those legends, the message is clear! You can compete with them and others, every year, starting from scratch!

Good luck, Global Chilli Heads! You guys have made the League Of Fire the success it is today. We truly admire all of you who are brave enough to attempt these crazy challenges. We regard this as an extreme sport and you guys are the ones with the bravery to make competitive chilli eating recognised and admired by people worldwide!

God Speed! We can’t wait to see who will be the League Of Fire NUMBER ONE Chilli Head for the 2020-2021 season ahead!
