I don’t actually like doing capsaicin challenges, but I do like shocking people more than I dislike doing these challenges. I have always liked spicy food, but it was not until around 5 years ago that I ever ate anything spicier than Tabasco. I usually bring at least one bottle of hot sauce to work. Sometimes, I bring two if I want to combine a superhot sauce like Doomed with a flavor sauce like Lucky Dog’s Year of the Dog. My colleagues usually want to sample, but very few can handle the superhot stuff. Current occupation is as a Family Medicine resident. Very rewarding work.
