From the moment we began this journey in 2019, we carried a vision – one that has expanded and evolved with every passing year. For a long time, we have dreamed of finding meaningful ways to ease the financial burden on competitors who travel across cities, countries, and continents to take part in League of Fire Belt Matches.
Over the years, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to meet people who share our passion, understand the importance of this sport, and believe deeply in its growth. Through these partnerships, we have already been able to secure accommodation for contestants at several events as well as airport transfers, travel, meals, and other incidentals. This has been possible thanks to organisers who, as the direct result of using the strength and reputation of the League of Fire brand – built through years of hard work – obtained sponsorship from local councils, governments, and private supporters.
Because of this shared belief in what LOF represents, we’ve successfully housed competitors in multiple countries for the matches they’ve bravely taken on. Our partners have also been developing an exceptional sponsorship framework to support LOF players behind the scenes, and this will be unveiled next year.
We have always encouraged sponsorships for competitors – win, lose, or draw – and we’re thrilled to see this becoming increasingly common. Our updated rules have played a major part in creating fairness and visibility, which in turn has led to direct sponsorships for players regardless of their performance.
One of our greatest dreams has been to grow the sport enough to one day offer prize money to every single contestant – no matter their final position. And now, at last, that dream is becoming a reality.
Through a shared passion, aligned values, and a tremendous belief in the community, we are honoured to announce that a brand-new sponsor – to be officially revealed in the new year – has partnered with the League of Fire as the Official Prize Sponsor for 2026, covering the World Title Match, the Americas Title Match, and the Americas Road Belt Matches. This sponsor approached us with the shared goal of supporting competitors more meaningfully. Together, we began formulating a prize structure for 2026 – one that reflects fairness, transparency, and genuine respect for every participant who steps onto a League of Fire stage and that which can be revealed now. This initiative will not only elevate the experience for every competitor, but it will also strengthen festivals by removing financial barriers and making competitor attendance more accessible and achievable.
This is a monumental milestone in LOF history – something we have worked tirelessly towards – and we are over the moon to finally bring it to life. Every contestant in these matches will receive a cash reward. It will be tiered, yes, but for the first time ever, each and every competitor walks away with a monetary award for stepping onto that stage. No conditions, no strings, just pure support.
Combined with our efforts to secure accommodation and flight assistance for world-level contenders, we are now moving in the direction we have dreamed of for years.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our surprise sponsor for believing in this sport and in its players. We cannot wait for our partnership in 2026 – a year that will lift our competitors higher than ever before and support them in the way they truly deserve.
At present, this cash-prize structure applies to the Americas region, and we will continue working diligently to secure equivalent support for our Oceania, European, and Africa tournaments.
The future of competitive chilli eating is brighter, stronger, and hotter than ever. 🔥🌶️❤️
As an organisation, we want to make something absolutely clear:
LOF does not earn a single penny from this partnership by way of any fees for our promotional work for the sponsor for this initiative nor from these prize funds – not directly, not indirectly, not in any form. Every prize is transferred straight from the benefactor to the awardee. Nothing is skimmed, nothing is redirected, nothing is held by LOF – ensuring that every competitor (athletes who make this sport what it is) receives the full amount intended for them, with complete transparency and integrity.
