This is The BRAZEN BULL – A Hot Sauce Challenge from The Capsaicin Cartel in Canada.

Consisting of a mix of superhot peppers; Trinidad Moruga Scorpions, Carolina Reapers, 7 pot Primo, Jay Peach Scorpion, Reaper Peach Beast, Chocolate Bhutlahs, Chocolate Ghosts and Red Ghosts. The Capsaicin Cartel added 13 million SHU capsaicin extract and 16 million SHU capsaicin crystals just for kicks. They are intent on challenging the most hardened chilihead to try to get through 100ml of pure pain.

History: The brazen bull, also known as the bronze bull, Sicilian bull, or bull of Phalaris, was a torture and execution device designed in ancient Greece as a new means of executing criminals. The bull was said to be hollow and made entirely out of bronze with a door in one side. According to legends, the brazen bull was designed in the form and size of an actual bull and had an acoustic apparatus that converted screams into the sound of a bull. The condemned were locked inside the device, and a fire was set under it, heating the metal until the person inside was roasted to death.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Video record yourself during the entire process;
   • A timer, the challenge bottle/sauce and yourself must always be visible during the recording
2. Read the waiver out loud and agree to the terms verbally
3. Sign the waiver visibly on camera
4. Show yourself opening the jar; you must demonstrate that the jar has not had its original seal broken or tampered with prior to your participation in the Brazen Bull Hot Sauce Challenge
5. Ensure that you use the supplies provided in your kit (gloves, straw, etc.)
6. Once the jar is open and you are ready to begin the challenge;
   • Use the straw provided to sip ¼ to 1/3 of the jar’s contents at a time
   • Hold the sauce and swirl it around in your mouth during the 20 seconds before swallowing (show the timer and the 20 second intervals visibly on the recording)
   • Repeat the steps until all the jar’s contents have been completely consumed (maximum 4 sips)
   • Wait during a 5 minute afterburn before consuming anything else
   • Declare your victory!
7. Complete the challenge as directed in the timeframes indicated and you have earned the right to declare yourself the Brazen Bull Hot Sauce Challenge Conqueror
8. Complete the challenge without adhering to all the time frames and consider yourself a survivor of the Brazen Bull Hot Sauce Challenge

N.B. – chugging The Brazen Bull Hot Sauce challenge is not an acceptable means of completing this challenge and therefore the participant will be disqualified.

LOF World Ranking Points:

• 9 points for each bottle consumed

*Extra Bonus Points in ascending order for each consecutive Bottle of BRAZEN BULL consumed in one sitting (observing the 5 min afterburn between each one):

• 2 bonus points for the 2nd bottle;
• 4 bonus points for the 3rd bottle;
• 6 bonus points for the 4th bottle and so on

Additional rules effective from 15 March 2023:

• No spitting or drooling – if you’re producing saliva, make sure you swallow it!
• No waiting in excess of 1 minute after burn time during back-to-back challenges.
• No covering of mouth with tissue/napkin or some such. Wiping of face, nose, and/or mouth is acceptable.
